South Carolina maintains lead in women's college basketball poll

South Carolina showed no signs of relinquishing its hold on the No. 1 spot in the Paste BN Sports women’s basketball coaches poll this week. The Gamecocks, now 21-1, continue to receive all but one first-place vote from the panel of 32 coaches. Second-ranked Stanford retains the other first-place nod.

The top five teams are the same, though their order is shuffled a bit. Louisville moves up a notch to No. 3, and Michigan gains a position to check in at No. 4. North Carolina State slips to No. 5, though the Wolfpack rebounded from a loss to Notre Dame with a convincing win against Georgia Tech.

The rest of the top 10 teams also remain, again with a slight change in order. Indiana holds steady at No. 6, while No. 7 Arizona, No. 8 Connecticut and No. 9 Iowa State each move up a notch. Tennessee slips three places to No. 10.

Florida joins the poll at No. 23 after taking down Tennessee during the week. No teams drop out, however, as Oregon holds on to a tie at the No. 25 spot with Mississippi.
