Report: Miami's Haley Cavinder enters transfer portal, sets sight on 2024-25 season


Miami guard Haley Cavinder has entered the transfer portal with the intention of playing in the 2024-25 season, reports ESPN.com.

Cavinder and her twin sister Hanna announced their retirement from basketball after spending one season with the Hurricanes. The twins first played at Fresno State and transferred to Miami after the completion of the 2022 season

Haley Cavinder led Miami in scoring averaging 12.2 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.

The Hurricanes finished 22-13 before losing to eventual champion LSU in the Elite Eight. According to the report, Cavinder, a 5-6 senior guard from Gilbert, Arizona, will consider possibly returning to Miami or playing at another school.

The twins have become brand names in the world of name, image, and likeness, as some of the top-earning athletes in college sports and scoring a deal with an NIL deal with World Wrestling Entertainment.

They are also influencers in social media, with more than four million TikTok followers.
