With Clark now excelling at the WNBA level, a new face has taken over her throne as the biggest star in women’s college basketball.

USC’s JuJu Watkins turned in one of the best seasons ever for a freshman in 2023-24, earning first-team all-America honors and leading USC to a 29-6 record and an Elite Eight appearance.

As a sophomore, and with about a month remaining in the regular season, she has provided a fitting encore. Entering the weekend, Watkins was averaging 24.2 points per game, the fourth-most of any Division I player, while helping guide the Trojans to a 20-2 record and a No. 7 ranking in the Paste BN Sports Coaches Poll.

She struggled from the field by her standards. She made five of her 21 shots, including just one of her six 3-point attempts. She also had 10 rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block.
