Social media reacts to UConn women's basketball dominant win vs South Carolina, 'GameDay' picks

ESPN's "College GameDay" committed the cardinal sin of picking a winner of a significant matchup on Sunday.
Joined by Grammy-nominated rapper Plies, the "GameDay" crew unanimously picked No. 4 South Carolina to defeat No. 7 UConn in a potential NCAA women's basketball national championship matchup on Sunday at Colonial Life Arena in Greenville, South Carolina.
The decision backfired, as the Huskies earned a dominant 87-58 win over the Gamecocks, proving that UConn is still a powerhouse in the sport. Azzi Fudd led UConn with 28 points, while Paige Bueckers added 12 points, 10 assists, and seven rebounds.
The victory snapped the Huskies' four-game losing streak against the Gamecocks, marking their second win in the last seven matchups against South Carolina. UConn now leads the all-time series 10-5.
Social media strongly reacted to ESPN's picks by Elle Duncan, Andraya Carter, Chiney Ogwumike and Plies, in ESPN's first women's college game featured on "GameDay" this season. Here's a look at the social media reactions:
