Tonight, women's basketball programs around the country will learn their fate, and whether they can make the women's NCAA Tournament 68-team field.

Four automatic bids remain to be handed out entering Sunday, with 27 teams having already secured a bid in the tournament by winning their conference tournaments. That leaves 37 spots open. While some teams are virtually locked in, others must wait to hear their names.

Since the beginning of the season in November, bracketology experts have tried to predict who would be in the Big Dance. Finally, teams and fans across the country can figure out whether their months' worth of hard work will result in a ticket to the Big Dance — or if they will be on the outside looking in.

What channel is women's basketball Selection Sunday show?

The women's NCAA Tournament Selection Sunday show will be broadcast nationally on ESPN at 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 16. The Selection Show can also be streamed on Fubo, which carries the ESPN family of networks and offers new subscribers a free trial. ESPN+ will also stream the broadcast.

Selection Sunday time for women's NCAA tournament

  • Selection Sunday time: 8 p.m. ET

The full 68-team field for the women's NCAA Tournament is scheduled to be unveiled at 8 p.m. ET Sunday, March 16. The men's selection show will be held at approximately 6 p.m. ET, two hours before the women's show.

When does 2025 Women's March Madness start?

  • Start date: Wednesday, March 19 (First Four)
  • End date: Sunday, April 6 (national championship)

The women's NCAA Tournament officially starts on Wednesday, March 19, with the First Four games. Two days later, on Friday, March 21, the first-round games open across different sites nationwide.

The Final Four will begin on Friday, April 4, at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. The championship game is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 6.
