The final game of the women's college basketball season has arrived.

And it's a rematch of the national championship game from two years ago between two of the sport's top teams.

UConn and defending national champion South Carolina will square off on Sunday at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida for the championship trophy of the 2025 women's NCAA Tournament.

Sunday's national championship game is perhaps one of the more highly anticipated title games in recent memory, as the Huskies and Gamecocks have formed a bit of a rivalry over the last handful of years and had met earlier this season.

Another part of the anticipation and hype for Sunday's game is the rematch of Paige Bueckers vs. Joyce Edwards, the stars of this year's UConn and South Carolina teams. To make the title game, South Carolina and UConn both put together dominant performances in the Final Four against Texas and UCLA, respectively.

A win on Sunday for South Carolina would make Dawn Staley the first coach since UConn's Geno Auriemma to lead a program to back-to-back national championship titles. As for Auriemma's own Huskies, a win on Sunday would give them their 12th national championship title in program history.
