Buy or sell: Psst! Cardinals! Lose out and get Larry Fitzgerald a quarterback
A quick look at the NFL market in Week 17 and whether we're getting in or getting out:
BUY: Adrian Peterson's comeback from injury is one of the greatest — if not the greatest — ever. He needs 138.5 yards per game over the final four weeks to hit 2,000. He needs only 315 to set a new career high ... coming off of ACL surgery.
SELL: Jason Babin's first game with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Not a whole lot doing there.
BUY: The Cleveland Browns' signs of life. They've been in every game this season, are 2-1 since the bye and probably should be 3-0 if not for some bad officiating in their loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Still plenty of work to be done with that roster, though head coach Pat Shurmur, possibly out with a new owner taking over, could be putting up a fight here.
SELL: The Seattle Seahawks' Richard Sherman saying quarterback Russell Wilson is "probably a little better than" Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III. Wilson showed some serious guts Sunday and we love a strong opinion, but that's a bit much, even from Optimus Prime.
BUY: The emergence of the Indianapolis Colts' T.Y. Hilton. This guy is hot and is averaging 15.1 yards per catch in his rookie season after a big 60-yard catch on Sunday.
SELL: The rest of the season if you're the Arizona Cardinals. Lose the last four. Get a better draft pick. And get a quarterback, for the love of Larry Fitzgerald.
BUY: Jamaal Charles' recent string of games. The Kansas City Chiefs' running back has 421 rushing yards on 90 carries over the last four games after an up-and-down early part of the season.
SELL: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers pass defense. Still the worst in the league and not getting much better. The Bucs have pass-happy divisional rivals in the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons coming up, and they face the Eagles on Sunday, with rookie Nick Foles starting to sling it a little better.
BUY: Tickets to Monday night's game between the Washington Redskins and New York Giants. It's going to be a good one, with a couple of RGIII highlight-reel plays after Andrew Luck's performance Sunday. Just watch.
SELL: Jake Locker's 6.9 yards per attempt this season. That's a bad number, and the Tennessee Titans must evaluate whether Locker is their guy moving forward.
