Johnny Manziel could become an instant star in Cleveland
Paste BN Sports' Chris Strauss saw an already devoted following for Johnny Manziel among Browns fans, one which might grow exponentially.
IRVING, Texas (AP) — Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones knows a celebrity quarterback when he sees one.
His take on Johnny Manziel: "He's Elvis."
There was no room for Elvis Presley in Dallas because Tony Romo is already there.
Jones reiterated Friday that Manziel wouldn't have beat out Romo to start if the Cowboys had taken him at No. 16 in the first round instead of Notre Dame offensive lineman Zack Martin.
Jones knew a circus would have been coming to town, saying Manziel wasn't "the usual development guy" behind an established starter such as Romo.
So, if Manziel is Elvis Presley, who is Romo? "George Strait," says Jones, flashing a wide grin.
