Ndamukong Suh will not face discipline for 'kick'; Adam Jones incident reviewed

Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh won’t be disciplined for an incident Sunday. Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam Jones might, but he won’t be suspended.

That’s the word from NFL spokesman Michael Signora, who said the league’s senior football operations staff determined that while there was contact, “Suh’s action was not deemed a kick” when he knocked off Washington Redskins running back Alfred Morris’ helmet after a play.

The NFL also will go through its normal process to review the incident involve Jones, who appeared to shove Oakland Raiders rookie Amari Cooper’s helmetless head backwards into Cooper’s helmet. But the incident won’t yield a suspension, Signora said.

It seems likely Jones will face a fine. Another play involving Suh, who appeared to poke Redskins lineman Morgan Moses in the eye, also figures to be reviewed. Fines generally are handed out later in the week.
