Injuries: Philadelphia Eagles place OL Andrew Gardner on injured reserve
Already thin on the offensive line, the Philadelphia Eagles announced Tuesday starting guard Andrew Gardner has been placed on the season-ending injured reserve list.
He suffered a foot injury in Sunday's game against the New York Jets.
Gardner, who signed a three-year contract extension in the offseason, started the first three games for the Eagles - who cut guards Todd Herremans and Evan Mathis in the offseason.
The Eagles signed offensive line Julian VanDervelde to replace Gardner on the roster.

- Carolina Panthers DE Charles Johnson has been placed on Injured Reserve/Designated to Return. Johnson broke the news on Instagram. He re-injured the hamstring in Sunday's game against New Orleans It had previously forced him to miss part of training camp. He will have to sit out eight weeks.
- Foxsports.com is reporting Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy will miss Sunday's game against the Giants with a hamstring injury.
- Green Bay Packers tight end Andrew Quarless is expected to miss four to six weeks with a medial collateral ligament sprain in his left knee, NFL Network reported.
