NFL Week 8 injuries: Steve Smith suffers season-ending torn Achilles
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. now has to decide if he really wants to call it a career.
The 36-year-old receiver suffered a season-ending torn Achilles on Sunday, Ravens coach John Harbaugh announced.
"I have a feeling Steve Smith will be back." Harbaugh said after the Ravens' 29-26 win over the San Diego Chargers.
Ravens running back Justin Forsett added that he would "be whispering in (Smith's) ear" to encourage the Ravens receiver to return for another season.
Smith's injury leaves the Ravens an already-thin Ravens receiving corps in a tough spot. Kamar Aiken is the only other wide receiver with at least 20 catches through seven games.
