The Harrisons: Dez Bryant comes up small when Cowboys needed him big time
In honor of Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison's bold stance, our weekly award for NFL playerswho didn't even deserve a participation trophy in Week 14:
DEZ BRYANT
He gets mad when the Dallas Cowboys don’t throw him the ball. So what happens when they do — in a must-win game against a beatable Green Bay Packers team? Bryant produces three drops and fails to give QB Matt Cassel the help he needs. Great receiver but a really bad day. And we don’t give trophies for bad days.
RA'SHEDE HAGEMAN
Since he was getting pushed around by the Carolina Panthers, the Atlanta Falcons defensive lineman tried his luck on the sideline and got into a shoving match with position coach Bryan Cox. Not a good idea. On any level.
RICHIE INCOGNITO
LeSean McCoy reportedly gave the Buffalo Bills guard a pep talk during the week and wanted the “Miami Incognito”. They must like yellow in Miami, because Incognito got whistled for every imaginable penalty as he was dominated by Philadelphia Eagles DE Fletcher Cox in the second half.
JASON MYERS
We hate to rain on the parade when the Jacksonville Jaguars score 51 points. But another missed extra point by their kicker? That is seven for the season. It's a good way for a rookie to not become a second-year kicker.
MICHAEL SCHOFIELD
We don’t want to blame the Denver Broncos tackle for all of Oakland Raiders pass rusher Khali Mack’s five sacks. But, well, we certainly could. Schofield should just be happy there wasn’t an immobile, Hall-of-Fame quarterback playing behind him, or someone might have really gotten hurt.
