If we could re-seed the NFL playoff teams: Seattle, Pittsburgh would benefit greatly

College football uses a committee to figure out its seedings for its four-team playoffs. (You might have missed the semifinals; they were played on New Year’s Eve, believe it or not).

In that spirit, we assembled our own committee – the Paste BN NFL staff – and asked them how they would seed the AFC and NFC playoff teams. As you see, the playoff matchups would be quite different.

Here is what our playoff seedings would look like (with their actual seed in parenthesis)

1. Carolina (1)

2. Arizona (2)

3. Seattle (5)

4. Minnesota (3)

5. Washington (4)

6. Green Bay (6)

OUR FIRST-ROUND GAMES: Green Bay at Seattle; Washington at Minnesota

1. Denver (1)

2. Pittsburgh (6)

3. New England (2)

4. Kansas City (5)

5. Cincinnati (3)

6. Houston (4)
