Monday NFL Buzz: Colin Kaepernick to remain 49ers' starting QB

Check back throughout Monday for all the latest quick-hit news:
Kaepernick remains starter
San Francisco 49ers coach Chip Kelly announced Colin Kaepernick would remain the team's starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Kaepernick completed 13 of 29 pases for 187 yards in the 49ers' 45-16 loss to the Buffalo Bills, his first start in nearly a year.
Kelly was noncommittal after the game about the position but elected to keep Kaepernick rather than go back to Blaine Gabbert or give Christian Ponder a chance.
Pete Carroll: What’s the big deal?
Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll doesn’t know what all the noise is about concerning the non-call against CB Richard Sherman in the closing minutes of Sunday’s win over the Atlanta Falcons.
"Sherm's hand was on his arm,” Carroll said on a Seattle radio station on Monday morning. “ That happens all the time. ...That's not a big deal at all.”
The Falcons disagree, as coach Dan Quinn hounded officials after the non-call. Replays appear to show Sherman grabbing the arm of Falcons WR Julio Jones and turning his body, and a fourth-down pass that would have put the Falcons on the edge of field goal position fell incomplete in the final minutes of the Seahawks’ 26-14 victory on Sunday.
"Before I took off, [Sherman] grabbed my right side and spun me around before I jumped up,” Jones said after the game. “But it was just a missed call. It's over with. It's done. We're on to the next right now."
Kubiak returns
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Denver Broncos coach Gary Kubiak is back at work after taking a week off under doctor's orders.
The 55-year-old coach suffered a complex migraine following Denver's 23-16 loss to Atlanta on Oct. 9. He spent a night in the hospital after being taken from the stadium via ambulance when he suffered extreme fatigue.
Special teams coach Joe DeCamillis was named interim head coach during Kubiak's absence and was in charge when the Broncos (4-2) lost 21-13 at San Diego on Thursday night.
Kubiak also had a health scare in 2013 when he suffered a mini-stroke at halftime of a game against the Colts when he was head coach of the Houston Texans.

Bryant circles date for his return
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant said his time on the sideline is over.
“Don’t have to ask me anymore, I’m good,” Bryant told NFL Network. “Playing against Philly.”
The Cowboys have a bye next weekend before hosting the Philadelphia Eagles on Oct. 30 on Sunday Night Football.
Bryant suffered a knee injury in Week 3 and has not played since then.
