The New York Jets will start quarterback Geno Smith in Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, according to a published report on Wednesday.
ESPN reported that Smith, a former second-round selection by the Jets, would get his first start since the 2014 season. He takes over for Ryan Fitzpatrick, who has struggled under center for the 1-5 Jets.
Smith came into Sunday’s 28-3 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in relief of Fitzpatrick and threw an interception on one of his six attempts.
