Paste BN Sports' Week 16 NFL picks

Week 16 of the NFL season will provide a holiday smorgasbord.

Your gifts this week include the final Thursday and Monday night games of the year. A New York Giants win in Philadelphia Thursday officially sends them to the playoffs for the first time since 2011 and keeps the Dallas Cowboys working hard on Monday. But a Giants loss (or Cowboys win over the Detroit Lions) locks up the NFC East and home-field advantage for Dallas.

Most of this week's lineup falls on Christmas Eve — and many of those Saturday contests are divisional matchups.

But the juiciest games will occur on Christmas. The Pittsburgh Steelers can take the AFC North crown Sunday afternoon by beating the archrival Baltimore Ravens, who would reclaim the driver's seat in the division themselves if they complete a season sweep of Pittsburgh. In the evening, the Kansas City Chiefs will try to punch their own playoff ticket and deal a mortal blow to the reigning champion Denver Broncos in the process.
