Super Bowl line: What's the point spread for SB51 between Patriots, Falcons?
The New England Patriots remained as 3-point favorites over the Atlanta Falcons, the same line established minutes after the Pats secured the franchise’s NFL-record ninth Super Bowl appearance on Sunday.
The line, along with the 58 over/under (total points scored in the Super Bowl LI on Feb. 5), has held steady in Nevada sports books headed into Tuesday.
Nevada’s sports books saw of $132.5 million of action related to Super Bowl 50, according to the state’s gaming control board. But the 194 sports books in Las Vegas, Reno and elsewhere in Nevada --- the only state where sports gaming is legal --- account for only a small fraction of the money wagered annually on the Super Bowl.
The American Gaming Association, a lobbying group that seeks to make sports gambling legal across the U.S., estimated a total of $4.1 billion was wagered at last year’s Super Bowl.
