Patriots linebacker Harvey Langi injured in car accident

New England Patriots linebacker Harvey Langi was transported to a local hospital with injuries he suffered in a car accident Friday night, according to a statement from the team.
"We are aware of the traffic involving Harvey Langi and a passenger last night in Foxborough," the Patriots said in a statement. "The two were stopped at a traffic light when they were rear ended by another vehicle. They were both transported to a local hospital with injuries and are receiving medical attention. Our thoughts are with Harvey, the Langi family and those who sustained injuries in last night's accident."
Langi, 25, has one tackle in one game played with the Patriots this season.
According to Doug Kyed of NESN.com, the injured passenger was Langi's wife, Cassidy. Kyed reported the injuries were serious but not life-threatening.
The Patriots signed Langi as an undrafted free agent before the start of this season. He started his career at Utah as a running back and then transferred to BYU, where he played linebacker. His best season was in 2015 when he had 66 total tackles, 4.5 sacks and two interceptions.
