The 2017 NFL season has been remarkable on many fronts, not all of them positive. It's also been thoroughly unpredictable, with last year's Super Bowl participants (the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons) coming back to the pack, while a wave of injuries to superstar players has significantly shifted the power dynamic.

Young new stars like Carson Wentz, Jared Goff and Kareem Hunt have also boosted their teams as have some first-year coaches, namely Sean McVay and Sean McDermott.
