Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton arrives to playoff game vs. Texans wearing clown mask
Do you think Indianapolis Colts receiver T.Y. Hilton is ready for Saturday's wild card playoff game against the Houston Texans?
Hilton and Houston Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph have been sparring through the media (and social media) this week, which has been more competitive than their matchups on the field, especially in Houston.
Hilton has caught 41 passes for 933 yards and 7 touchdowns in his career in Houston. Extrapolated over a full season, that's 94 catches for 2,133 yards and 16 touchdowns.
This season Hilton went for 199 yards in the Colts' 24-21 victory on Dec. 9. (He had 115 in the Colts' 37-34 loss on Sept. 30 in Indianapolis.)
Hilton referred to NRG Stadium as his "second home" after the Dec. 9 game. Joseph didn't approve.
"Nah, man, that's for clowns," Joseph told the Houston Chronicle this week. "That's for TV. That's what they do. You put something in their face, anybody can say it.
"Sounds good, easily said. I could easily say that, too. We could call the division our division since I've been here, last five out of eight years. It's not our first rodeo so we'll be ready."
Here's what Hilton wore into the stadium in Houston Saturday:
Hilton injured his ankle during the game in Houston earlier this season and has been practicing regularly but has been the NFL's best receiver since mid-November with 47 catches for 840 yards in the past seven games.
Hilton had tweeted this out prior to that:
And the Colts shared these pictures on Friday as the team readied to travel to Houston for the playoff showdown.
