Tom Brady to the Chargers? That and much more on Week 2 of the XFL
The long, six-day wait for more XFL football is thankfully almost over!
After a successful opening weekend, the league features an intriguing Week 2 slate that includes two games involving teams that won last weekend and two games that involved teams that lost last weekend. Two teams will get their historic first wins! Two teams will improve to 2-0 and vie for the top spot in next week's XFL power rankings.
In the NFL, draft season will ramp up shortly with the combine starting in less than two weeks (this year, the on-field drills go primetime!). And we look at the Los Angeles Chargers, who could be looking for a quarterback after parting ways with Philip Rivers. Is Tom Brady the answer?
NFL news, notes and analysis
- Exclusive interview with Colin Kaepernick: The former San Francisco 49ers QB spoke with our Jarrett Bell about his next venture, a memoir to be released this year that should fill in some of the gaps of what he's been up to since he last took an NFL snap over three years ago. It should also provide insights into the motivation and methods behind his activism. If this interview was any indication, the book should be plenty revealing.
- Which team will be next to break long Super Bowl title drought? When the Chiefs won it was their first Super Bowl victory in 50 years. Which long-suffered group could be next?

Around the XFL
