Dwayne Haskins' wife issues statement thanking people who reached out after Steelers quarterback's death

The wife of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins posted a statement expressing her thanks to those who have reached out since her husband's death.
Haskins was killed on Saturday morning after he was hit by a dump truck while he was trying to cross an interstate in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
"I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to every loving soul who has supported our family during this arduous time of loss," Kalabrya Haskins said in a statement. "The overwhelming thoughts and prayers have been fuel for our emotional depletion. All of your blessings have been greatly valued and appreciated. The meaningful touches and impact Dwayne made as husband, son, brother and teammate and friend is a timeless treasure imbrued in our hearts. I am truly grateful to everyone who has been by our side as we mourn his untimely passing. Our family implores for your continued prayers, yet continued respectful as we painfully grieve."

Two memorials are planned in Haskins' honor - one on Saturday, April 23, in Rockaway Township, New Jersey, and a vigil planned for the next night at Haskins' high school, Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland.
The Florida Highway Patrol is still trying to determine the circumstances of Haskins' death and is not commenting until its investigation is complete, which could take up to 90 days.
