Chargers WR Keenan Allen ruled out with hamstring injury

One of the Chargers’ key offensive cogs will miss the remainder of the game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen was officially ruled out due to a hamstring injury. He initially was considered questionable to return. The Chargers downgraded his injury status after further evaluation.
Allen pulled up early on a route midway through the second quarter but made his way to the sideline under his own power. He was seen going into the medical tent to be evaluated by the training staff.
The five-time Pro Bowler had four receptions for 66 yards before leaving the game. He began his 10th NFL season as the go-to option for Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert.
The Chargers turned to second-year receiver Joshua Palmer and kick returner DeAndre Carter to fill the void. The stepped into bigger roles as Carter hauled in a 23-yard touchdown right before halftime.
