If quarterbacking in the NFL doesn't work out for Kirk Cousins, he can perhaps attempt a new career at topping the charts.

The Minnesota Vikings signal caller for some reason during the NFL Honors telecast on Thursday decided to sing his own version of host Kelly Clarkson's "Since You've Been Gone."

"I'm sorry, Kelly. I just wanted to sing one quick tribute song to Tom Brady, on behalf of all the other quarterbacks in the league," he said to Clarkson.

Cousins, who came to the awards show looking like he borrowed jewelry from Mr. T, then came up with these lyrics.

"Tom won seven times, went to ten. He's on some beach, so maybe Kirk can win. Yeah yeah, since he's been gone."

Looking at the reaction of the audience, many felt Cousins should stick to his day job.

Clarkson then came up with her own lyrics of the song.

"Cuz now that he's gone. Teams have hope for the first time. Brady's moving on, yeah yeah. For the goat, that's a wrap. Now he just posts thirst traps. Now that he's gone," she sang.

During her monologue earlier in the night, Clarkson joked that she thought Joe Burrow was a TikTok rapper, presumably because of the way he dresses.

At least one Minnesota Viking got praise during the night and it was Cousins' teammate, Justin Jefferson, who won Offensive Player of the Year. Jefferson had 128 catches, 1,809 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. He led the NFL in both catches and receiving yards in 2022.
