2023 USFL draft: Michigan State's Jarrett Horst is No. 1 pick to Michigan Panthers

The USFL, which kicks off its second season of its second incarnation on April 15, held a 10-round college draft on Tuesday.
Michigan State offensive tackle Jarrett Horst was the No. 1 overall selection by the Michigan Panthers. The defending USFL champion Birmingham Stallions closed out the first round by selecting UAB offensive tackle Kadeem Telfort.
Of the 80 USFL players drafted Tuesday, 13 have been invited to the 2023 NFL scouting combine (Feb. 28-March 6 in Indianapolis): UCLA WR Jake Bobo (New Orleans Breakers), Louisville QB Malik Cunningham (Birmingham Stallions), TCU WR Derius Davis (Birmingham Stallions), Charlotte WR Grant DuBose (Birmingham Stallions), Arkansas-Pine Bluff OG Mark Evans (Birmingham Stallions), Rutgers punter Adam Korsak (New Jersey Generals), Florida A&M edge rusher Isaiah Land (Pittsburgh Maulers), East Carolina RB Keaton Mitchell (New Orleans Breakers), North Carolina State LB Isaiah Moore (New Orleans Breakers), Cincinnati WR Tyler Scott (New Orleans Breakers), Eastern Michigan DE Jose Ramirez (Philadelphia Stars), Eastern Michigan OG Sidy Sow (Michigan Panthers) and Oklahoma State safety Jason Taylor II (Houston Gamblers).
Teams are essentially claiming rights to the player should they decide to play in the USFL. Many of the players picked by the USFL likely will either get drafted or signed as undrafted free agents by NFL teams this year.
