The uplifting reason a Cincinnati Bengals punter is spending offseason 'doing DoorDash'
Drue Chrisman is spending his summer working.
The former Ohio State and current Cincinnati Bengals punter is spending his NFL offseason as a DoorDash delivery person, posting videos on social media from his travels around Cincinnati.
But in a tweet Wednesday morning, Chrisman wanted wanted to make something perfectly clear: the extra cash is not for him.
"To answer the question 'why are you doing DoorDash Drue?'" Chrisman tweeted. "I use the money I make to spend at local restaurants and hand the food out around town. Hope that clears things up."
Throughout June, Chrisman has posted videos of his DoorDash trips around Cincinnati, delivering orders on his bike.

Chrisman averaged 47.8 yards on 28 punts for the Bengals last season.
At Ohio State, the Lawrenceburg, Indiana, native averaged 44 yards per punt, landing 83 kicks inside the 20-yard line. He was an Academic All-Big Ten honoree and OSU Scholar Athlete and a two-time semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award, given to the top college punter.
Chrisman's Ohio State career was not only defined by his punting abilities.
Chrisman proposed to his girlfriend during halftime of the Buckeyes' 2019 spring game, who bought into a supposed kicking competition between her and former Ohio State kicker Sean Nuernberger's girlfriend.
“I couldn’t think of a better place to do it than in Ohio Stadium, with the history behind the stadium,” Chrisman said. “To be able to do that was just a privilege.”

He also developed into a world-renowned "bottle flipper," posting multiple videos trying to break records of most water bottles flipped in 30 seconds, while also participating in a 24-hour bottle-flipping marathon to raise money for the World Wildlife Fund's Australia bushfire relief efforts
