The Detroit Lions (3-1) return home riding high as they take on the Carolina Panthers (0-4) Sunday at Ford Field.

Jared Goff and company will have a few extra days of rest after defeating the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field last Thursday. The Lions will also have wide receiver Jameson Williams back after he served his suspension.

Bryce Young returned from an ankle injury last week and didn't reach the end zone against the Minnesota Vikings in a battle of winless teams. Veteran backup Andy Dalton filled in during a Week 3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Carolina won last year's matchup 37-23 despite three touchdowns from Goff. The Panthers were powered by a total of 320 rushing yards primarily from D'Onta Foreman and Chuba Hubbard.

Lorenzo Reyes: Lions 29, Panthers 12

The Lions have covered all but one game, but this is the biggest spread they will have faced. Carolina is a young team that’s still finding itself and its identity. Detroit has the better roster, is more balanced and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn should come up with ways to confuse rookie Bryce Young.

Tyler Dragon: Lions 28, Panthers 17

The Lions 34-20 win over the Packers was a statement. Lions coach Dan Campbell has established a culture and his team is taking it in stride. The winless Panthers are struggling, especially on offense. Bryce Young and Carolina won’t get on track this week.

Victoria Hernandez: Lions 28, Panthers 17

The Panthers last started a season 0-5 in 2010. I haven't seen enough from them to convince me they aren't going to repeat that. There are too many question marks around both sides of the team with Shaq Thompson out. Detroit has a well-balanced offense and should secure the home win without too much trouble.

Jordan Mendoza: Lions 35, Panthers 16

Detroit is playing as they were advertised in the offseason, while Carolina is still trying to figure out how to run an effective offense. The Lions' defense hasn't gotten enough credit for the past two wins, and they put the clamps down again for another big win.
