San Francisco 49ers at Minnesota Vikings: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 7 game

"Monday Night Football" for Week 7 will take place in U.S. Bank Stadium as the Minnesota Vikings (2-4) will host the San Francisco 49ers (5-1).

It was a magnificent start to the season for San Francisco, but the run toward perfection ended in a close loss to the Cleveland Browns. There were all sorts of miscues that doomed the 49ers, but injuries to weapons like Deebo Samuel and Christian McCaffrey could cause concern for what has been a flourishing offense.

Without star receiver Justin Jefferson, the Vikings were able to avoid the bottom of the NFC North by putting the clamps on the Chicago Bears in a 19-13 road win. There has been lots of talk surrounding a Kirk Cousins trade, but those could be put to rest with a big win against a Super Bowl contender.

Lorenzo Reyes: 49ers 33, Vikings 20

Definitely wait for closer to game time to watch the updates on the injuries of 49ers stars Deebo Samuel, Christian McCaffrey and Trent Williams, but I think this is an excellent position for San Francisco to bounce back. The Vikings, meanwhile, were unspectacular against a weak Bears squad.

Tyler Dragon: 49ers 28, Vikings 13

Expect the 49ers to bounce back after a surprising loss to the Browns in Week 6. Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel and Trent Williams are all battling injuries. But the 49ers still have enough talent to beat a struggling Vikings team sans Justin Jefferson.  Minnesota has a league-worst 13 giveaways.

Safid Deen: 49ers 27, Vikings 17

This would’ve been a better Monday night matchup if injuries weren’t a factor. It appears running back Christian McCaffrey (oblique/rib), Deebo Samuel (shoulder), and left tackle Trent Williams (right ankle) could all miss this game, which would be better for San Francisco’s potential Super Bowl run. The Vikings weren’t doing well before star receiver Justin Jefferson’s hamstring injury, and won’t do any better against a 49ers team that’s significantly loaded with depth behind their injured stars.

Victoria Hernandez: 49ers 24, Vikings 19

Christian McCaffery’s touchdown streak could be over as he hurt his oblique last week and is a question mark for this game along with Deebo Samuel and Trent Williams. For the Vikings, TJ Hockenson has stepped up in Justin Jefferson’s absence, as he should with the money he’s making. Ultimately, Brock Purdy has more tools at his disposal and a stout defense to rely on.

Jordan Mendoza: 49ers 22, Vikings 13

All eyes will be on whether Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel can suit up for San Francisco as the offense struggled without its key pieces in the first loss of the season. But even if they don't play, the 49ers defense will create fits for a Minnesota offense that's still not anything impressive.
