Jacksonville Jaguars at Pittsburgh Steelers: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 8 game

Two AFC playoff contenders will meet in a measuring-stick game Sunday when the Jacksonville Jaguars (5-2) visit the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2).
The Jaguars have hit their stride in the early half of the season after starting 1-2, as they've now won four in a row after a "Thursday Night Football" win against the Saints. The offense is being paced by Trevor Lawrence while Travis Etienne continues to find the end zone for a team that is looking to have an undefeated October.
Could the Steelers be turning the page on offense? It hasn't been a total offensive turnaround, but Kenny Pickett and company are starting to be more effective while the defense continues to shut down opponents, as evident in the road victory against the Rams.

Lorenzo Reyes: Jaguars 21, Steelers 20
The Steelers are a bit all over the place at times, but under Mike Tomlin always bring a ton of effort. The Jaguars are quietly becoming a contender in the AFC, but are just 1-2 against the spread at home. I’m bullish on Pittsburgh covering, and can even see a potential upset, especially at home.
Tyler Dragon: Jaguars 22, Steelers 21
Mike Tomlin is on pace for his 17th straight winning season. The Steelers' defense has made game-altering plays the last two weeks. T.J. Watt’s interception against the Rams sparked the team to victory. The Jaguars are riding a four-game winning streak and are looking to go into their bye week on a positive note. Jacksonville’s topped 30 points in each of the past two contests.
Safid Deen: Jaguars 26, Steelers 18
This will be a rough matchup for the Jaguars against the Steelers, who are just a tough out every time they play at home. But the Steelers don’t have enough on offense to compete with the Jaguars. Jacksonville improves to 6-2 heading into their bye.
Victoria Hernandez: Jaguars 30, Steelers 25
The road warrior Jaguars have had a couple extra days of rest and if there were any questions about how Trevor Lawrence would play hurt, he silenced them in a gritty win last week. The Steelers are still inconsistent and had to rally late to beat the Rams.
Jordan Mendoza: Jaguars 27, Steelers 23
This will be a juicy matchup between the Jacksonville offense and the Pittsburgh defense. While an elite squad, the Steelers aren't able to fully stop Jacksonville from putting up points, while Pittsburgh isn't able to keep up with it. This one feels like it'll be a close game the entire way.
