The undrafted rookie quarterback, Tyson Bagent, made his first start for the Bears. He completed 21 out of 29 attempts for 162 yards and scored one touchdown. Due to a dislocated right thumb injury, Justin Fields is classified as “doubtful” against the Chargers, which means Bagent is likely to start again for the Bears.
The Los Angeles Chargers' quarterback, Justin Herbert, who is also the highest-paid player in the franchise's history, is currently facing difficulties due to a fractured left middle finger. This injury has negatively impacted his efforts to lead the team toward success, as evidenced by their recent 31-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Since Herbert's Week 4 injury to his finger against the Las Vegas Raiders, he has been struggling, and his performance has been subpar despite his claims that the injury is insignificant.
Herbert is not expected to sit out in Week 8 against rookie Bagent and the Chicago Bears at SoFi Stadium.
