Patriots vs. Steelers: Best anytime NFL TD scorer bets for Thursday Night Football Week 14

Week 14 is set to kick off with one of the final editions of "Thursday Night Football" in the 2023 season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers (7-5) will host the New England Patriots (2-10) on Thursday in a clash between two teams currently in the bottom five of NFL scoring offenses.

Both teams enter the clash coming off of a loss in Week 13. The Steelers fell to the Arizona Cardinals at home, 24-10, as running back James Conner dominated his former team. The Patriots lost their tenth game of the season to the Los Angeles Chargers, 6-0.

With two offenses currently positioned in the NFL's basement, scoring may be hard to come by. Nevertheless, these are the best bets for anytime touchdown scorers on "Thursday Night Football" in Week 14.

Best anytime touchdown bets for Patriots vs. Steelers Thursday Night Football

All odds courtesy of BetMGM Wednesday morning.

TE Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh Steelers (+225)

After missing nearly all of October with a hamstring injury, Freiermuth's return has been marked by an uptick in targets, particularly over the last two weeks. That positive trend also correlates directly with the Steelers' decision to part with former offensive coordinator Matt Canada. As a big-bodied, red zone target, he has a decent chance of hauling in a touchdown on Thursday.

WR Diontae Johnson, Pittsburgh Steelers (+300)

Fellow receiver George Pickens has more yards, targets, touchdowns and receptions this season than Johnson, but that's only because the latter missed time with a hamstring injury. Since Johnson's return, Pickens has only out-targeted him once: the veteran's first game back from injury. Against a Patriots team that has struggled more against the pass against the run, two pass-catchers feel like safer bets than a running back here.

WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, New England Patriots (+600)

Long odds here, but Smith-Schuster has never had the chance to play against one of his former teams (though he'll get another chance against the Chiefs next week). The Steelers got torched by one of their past players just last week, and it's always an interesting storyline to keep an eye on.
