Detroit Lions vs. Dallas Cowboys preview: Predictions, odds, how to watch Saturday Night's game

The Detroit Lions (11-4) travel to AT&T Stadium to take on the Dallas Cowboys (10-5) in a Week 17 matchup in the final stretch of the regular season.

The Detroit Lions had an outstanding season and became the NFC North champions for the first time in 30 years, securing a home playoff game after winning against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 16. Quarterback Jared Goff completed 30 of 40 pass attempts for 257 yards and one touchdown in the 24-20 victory against the Vikings. The Lions hope to have C.J. Gardner-Johnson back on the roster in time for their playoff run after recovering from a torn pectoral.

In Week 16, the Dallas Cowboys couldn’t edge past the Miami Dolphins on Christmas Eve, marking the second loss in a row for the Cowboys. Even though quarterback Dak Prescott completed 20 out of 32 pass attempts for 253 yards and two touchdowns, and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb caught six passes for 118 yards and one touchdown, their performance was insufficient to secure a win. The Cowboys are now aiming for a statement win against the Lions to demonstrate that they have what it takes to compete in the playoffs.
