Panthers vs. Jaguars: Predictions, odds, and how to watch Sunday's game
The Carolina Panthers (2-13) head to EverBank Stadium to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars (8-7) in a Week 17 matchup.
The Carolina Panthers suffered a 33-30 loss against the Green Bay Packers in Week 16. Quarterback Bryce Young, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, completed 23 of 36 pass attempts for a career-high 312 yards and two touchdowns against the Packers.
The Panthers are dealing with a few injuries heading into Week 17, including to cornerback Jaycee Horn, who did not practice Wednesday or Thursday with a toe injury. Linebacker Amare Barno was carted off the field with a knee injury Sunday, while cornerback Troy Hill had to miss the end of the game and is now in concussion protocol leading up to Week 17. Running back Miles Sanders also injured his toe against the Packers, but was listed as a full participant at practice Wednesday and Thursday.
The Jaguars suffered their fourth consecutive defeat in a 30-12 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jaguars starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence sustained a AC joint sprain during the third quarter of the game after completing 17 out of 29 pass attempts for 211 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. If Lawerence is unable to play in Week 17 against the Panthers, backup quarterback C.J. Beathard will take over as the starter for the Jaguars.

Pro Football Network: Taking Panthers
Staff writes: "At this stage, who knows what to make of Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars? The Carolina Panthers are fighting hard down the stretch, and that should not end here. Since their bye week, only three of the Panthers’ games have been decided by more than seven points. With Lawrence less than 100% that could easily be the case this week. I do not want to trust Bryce Young and this Panthers’ team but they have fought hard for four of the last five weeks. The Jaguars are not a good team right now, so taking the 6.5 with that Panthers could be the option."
