When is kickoff time for the NFC divisional game? How to watch San Francisco-Green Bay

San Francisco and Green Bay meet in the playoffs for the third time in the last five seasons.

The NFL playoffs continue this weekend with the divisional round in both conferences. After the wild card round, we're down to the final four teams in the AFC and NFC. For the latter, that includes a matchup between the No. 1-seeded San Francisco 49ers and the No. 7-seeded Green Bay Packers in the latest edition of the NFL's most storied playoff rivalry.

Green Bay blew the Dallas Cowboys out 48-32 at AT&T Stadium in the wild card round behind turnovers and quarterback Jordan Love's best game of the season. San Francisco had a first-round bye for the first time since the 2019 season when the 49ers lost the Super Bowl.

NFL wild card round takeaways: More coaching drama to come?

These two teams met most recently in the 2021-22 playoffs. In that instance it was the top-seeded Packers hosting the No. 6-seeded 49ers in a snowy game at Lambeau Field. The 49ers won 13-10 on a 45-yard field goal as time expired to knock off the NFC's top seed. Two years prior to that, the 49ers ran over Green Bay 37-20 in the NFC championship game.

The game features two coaches with a long history of working together. San Francisco coach Kyle Shanahan was the offensive coordinator for the Houston Texans in 2008 and gave Packers coach Matt LaFleur his first job in the NFL as an offensive assistant.

LaFleur followed Shanahan to Washington from 2010-13 as a quarterbacks coach while Shanahan was the offensive coordinator. The two had the same roles again again in 2015-16 with the Atlanta Falcons.

Saturday marks the NFL-record 10th time these two teams have met in the playoffs. These are two of the most successful franchises in NFL playoff history; only the New England Patriots (0.627) have a better postseason win percentage than the 49ers (0.610) and Packers (0.597). This week will add another chapter in the long-running rivalry.
