Here's how the NFL playoff bracket looks before AFC, NFC conference championships


The final four teams competing in the AFC and NFC conference championship games for a chance to play in Super Bowl LVIII will be back in action this weekend.

Lamar Jackson, the MVP favorite, led the Baltimore Ravens to a 34-10 victory against the Houston Texans. Jackson had an outstanding performance, completing 16 out of 22 pass attempts for 152 yards and scoring two touchdowns. Jackson also impressed on the ground, recording 11 carries for 100 yards and two touchdowns.

Patrick Mahomes led the Kansas City Chiefs to a 27-24 victory against the Buffalo Bills, securing their sixth appearance in the AFC Conference championship game in six years.

On the other side of the NFL playoffs bracket, Brock Purdy led the San Francisco 49ers to a 24-21 victory over the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round. This win advances San Francisco to their third consecutive NFC conference championship game. Now, the 49ers will focus on their upcoming game against the Detroit Lions, who have been a surprise success in the playoffs.

AFC:

  • No. 1 Baltimore Ravens will host the AFC championship against the No. 3 Kansas City Chiefs

NFC:

  • No. 1 San Francisco 49ers will host the NFC championship against the No. 3 Detroit Lions

Conference championships games

  • AFC title game: The Kansas City Chiefs take on the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, Jan. 28, 3 p.m. on CBS.
  • NFC title game: The Detroit Lions take on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Jan. 28, 6:30 p.m. on FOX.
