Chicago Bears at Indianapolis Colts: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 3 game

Despite an underwhelming 0-2 record to start the year, the Indianapolis Colts have not looked terrible. Even without Josh Downs, their offense has looked serviceable. Alec Pierce has emerged as a true No. 2 receiver. Jonathan Taylor is racking up yards. The problem has been their run defense. They've let up over 300 combined rushing yards to opposing running backs in two weeks, putting them on pace for over 2550 rushing yards allowed on the year. That's a problem.

The Chicago Bears will look to take advantage of that problem in Week 3. This matchup comes at just the right time. Chicago's offense has looked abysmal to start the season, and while Caleb Williams has received most of the backlash, running back D'Andre Swift hasn't been much better. Swift is averaging less than three yards per carry on the season and only has 48 total rushing yards through two games. If the Bears can take advantage of Indy's weak run defense, that could be the momentum swing Chicago needs to kick their offense into gear.

Lorenzo Reyes: Colts 19, Bears 12

Chicago’s main problem is its offensive line, which has become wholly unreliable and yields far too much pressure. As a result, Caleb Williams is struggling to push the ball down the field. As long as Indy protects the football and limits turnovers, it should secure its first victory of the season.

Tyler Dragon: Colts 20, Bears 17

The Colts have lost two one-score games to begin the season. They are better than their 0-2 record. The Bears are an improved team, but they are going through some growing pains on offense with rookie QB Caleb Williams. He has no touchdown passes, two interceptions and he’s been sacked nine times, which is tied for an NFL-high. The Colts earn their first win in front of their home fans.

Richard Morin: Bears 40, Colts 16

On the heels of a primetime loss, I can see Caleb Williams having a big day against the Colts. The No. 1 overall pick has struggled to find the end zone early in his rookie career. He'll score four touchdowns Sunday.

Jordan Mendoza: Bears 23, Colts 21

It’s time Caleb Williams throws his first NFL touchdown. The Colts offense struggled at Green Bay and Chicago’s defense makes life hard for Anthony Richardson.
