For the first time in their franchise's history, the Detroit Lions are betting favorites to win the Super Bowl, according to the latest odds from BetMGM.

Week 11 saw Detroit, a team that has never even appeared in a Super Bowl, enter into a tie for the best record in the NFL. Its blowout win over the Jacksonville Jaguars gave them a 9-1 record, and the Kansas City Chiefs' loss to the Buffalo Bills was their first of the season, dropping them to 9-1.

The Lions look like one of the most dominant teams in the league thanks to their high-octane offense and sturdy defense, which have led them to the best record in the league.

Detroit is one year removed from an NFC championship game appearance and is the only NFC team to crack the top four in BetMGM's Super Bowl odds leaderboard after Week 11. Three AFC teams – the Chiefs, Bills and Baltimore Ravens – trail immediately behind.

The three teams with the best records in the NFL through Week 11 – the Lions, Chiefs and Bills – top BetMGM's Super Bowl 59 odds. The team with the fourth-best record, the Philadelphia Eagles, trails the Ravens in odds despite Baltimore's Week 11 loss that dropped the team to 7-4.

Those five teams are the only ones with odds better than 10/1 to lift the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the year.
