The Philadelphia Eagles came into the 2024 NFL season having suffered a brutal collapse in the second half of the 2023 campaign. After a 10-1 start, the Eagles dropped five of their last six games before being trounced by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the playoffs.

That prompted sweeping changes to the Eagles coaching staff. Out went offensive coordinator Brian Johnson and the defensive play-calling duo of Sean Desai and Matt Patricia. In came Kellen Moore and Vic Fangio to steady the ship.

The early returns weren't great. Philadelphia still looked inconsistent through the first four weeks, posting a 2-2 record while watching its defense surrender 24 points per game.

However, since their Week 5 bye, the Eagles have been one of the NFL's best teams. Fangio's defense has come together nicely, with rookie Quinyon Mitchell providing a needed boost to the team's cornerback room. Meanwhile, their offense has been strengthened as a ground-dominant attack, with free agent signing Saquon Barkley helping the team produce an average of 181.3 rushing yards per game.

As a result, the Eagles are on a six-game winning streak entering Week 12. They are showing no signs of slowing down, helping them earn their reputation as one of the toughest NFC teams to beat during the 2024 NFL season.

Here's what you need to know about the Eagles' playoff odds, their remaining schedule and where they stand in the NFC playoff picture for Week 12.

Eagles playoff odds

According to BetMGM Sportsbook, the Eagles have odds of -10000 to make the playoffs entering Week 12. That gives Philadelphia an implied probability of 99.01% to qualify for the postseason.

Eagles remaining schedule

Philadelphia's seven remaining opponents have a combined winning percentage of .486, per Tankathon. That gives the Eagles the 16th-toughest remaining schedule among the NFL's 32 teams.

The Eagles have three games remaining against teams with three wins or fewer, so it's easy to understand why NFL oddsmakers favor Philadelphia to make the postseason.

NFC East standings

Unsurprisingly, the Eagles are heavily favored to win the NFC East after their Week 11 win over the Washington Commanders. BetMGM lists the Eagles as -550 favorites, which translates to an 84.62% chance of claiming the NFC East title.

Below is a full look at the NFC East standings entering Week 12:

  1. Philadelphia Eagles (8-2)
  2. Washington Commanders (7-4)
  3. Dallas Cowboys (3-7)
  4. New York Giants (2-8)

The Eagles have a 3-0 record against the division, while the Commanders have a 2-1 record. If both continue to beat up on the lowly Cowboys and Giants, their Week 16 rematch could decide who controls the division.

The Eagles have the inside track because of their 1.5-game lead over the Commanders and the tiebreak win. But if Philadelphia stumbles in its matchups against the Rams, Ravens or Steelers, Washington will have a chance to make up some ground quickly.
