Week 11 saw the final undefeated team in the NFL - the Kansas City Chiefs - end their run with a loss to the Buffalo Bills. The 1972 Miami Dolphins can celebrate as their perfect season remains the only in NFL history.

After many close finishes in the early, afternoon and primetime slate on Sunday, Week 12 should have some more good action despite a season-high six teams taking their bye. The New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New Orleans Saints are all off. All 32 teams will be in action for the holiday weekend in Week 13 before six teams take their bye again in Week 14.

Though there is one less game on Sunday than in Week 11, there still are key matchups for division and wild card races across the league. Here's everything you need to know.

Top storylines for NFL Week 12 games

  • With a new offensive coordinator, the Bears looked much improved on offense and nearly beat the Packers for the first time since Dec. 16, 2018. They'll get a tough test this week against a Vikings defense they're seeing for the first time this season.
  • Houston got a win in prime time against Dallas last week. The Titans are 2-8 but improving; Tennessee's offense has just two turnovers over the last three weeks. With the top pass defense in the league, could the Titans spring a surprise on the road this week?
  • Miami's strung together two wins to move within two wins of the No. 7-seeded Broncos in the AFC playoff picture. If they can bank another win at home against the Patriots, the Dolphins would move one game closer to 0.500 and fully into the chase for a playoff spot.
  • Green Bay held on against Chicago last week, while San Francisco lost on a last-minute touchdown run by Geno Smith. Both teams are in the hunt for a potential wild card spot in the playoffs. The 49ers need to get right but will have to do so without starting quarterback Brock Purdy.
  • Speaking of Geno Smith, the Seahawks are hosting the Arizona Cardinals in a matchup that could decide the NFC West leader. The Cardinals haven't beaten Seattle in three years. If they do, they'll be at least a game up in a wild race for the division title.
