Dallas Cowboys quarterbacks have had a streak of bad luck in 2024.

First, it was Dak Prescott's injury that will cost him the remainder of the season. Now, it's a knee injury that threatens Cooper Rush's availability for Thanksgiving Day. The Cowboys are 4-7 on the season and are primed to miss the playoffs. They have been crushed at home all year, losing all five of their home games, four of them by at least two scores.

Dallas fans haven't been given many reasons to cheer this year, so it's only natural that the injury report isn't doing them any favors either. With Rush's status coming into question, the injury report will again be a popular tab for the Cowboys fans ahead of Thursday's Turkey Day game.

Here is the latest on Rush.

Cooper Rush injury update

Rush landed on the Cowboys' injury report with a knee injury ahead of the Cowboys' Thanksgiving game against the Giants. He was listed as a limited participant in practice on Monday and Tuesday. It's worth noting that the report is an estimation, considering it is a short week.

"He's got some work to do," head coach Mike McCarthy said. "But I think he'll be fine."

Concern shouldn't be high regarding the Cowboys' signal caller, considering he didn't exit Sunday's win over the Commanders. The estimation is probably more rest and maintenance than anything else, meaning Rush should be on track to start on Thanksgiving.

To that end, Rush told Jane Slater of NFL Network on Tuesday that he's "good to go for Thursday."

When was Cooper Rush's injury?

It's unclear when Rush suffered the injury, so it could be something that's been nagging him. Rush has taken plenty of hits since taking over as the Cowboys' starter following Prescott's injury, so it's possible that the knee issue appeared as those hits piled up.

Cooper Rush stats

Rush has appeared in seven games for Dallas this season, posting a 1-2 record as the starter. He's completed 61.1% of passes, throwing for 813 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions.
