Broncos playoff picture: Odds, remaining schedule, AFC West division standings

The Denver Broncos are on the brink of accomplishing something they haven't done since 2015.
Through 12 games played, they're in a position to make the playoffs.
Head coach Sean Payton and rookie quarterback Bo Nix have thrived in their first season together in Denver. With their 7-5 record, the Broncos would hold the third wild card spot in the AFC playoffs if the season ended today.
Should they beat the Cleveland Browns on "Monday Night Football," they'll have a 76% chance to make the playoffs, according to NFL.com's playoff picture.
After an 8-9 season in 2023, Denver is already one win away from matching their season-long win total in 2024. The Broncos still have five games to play, and Nix will continue to build up his Offensive Rookie of the Year case if he keeps leading his team to wins.
Here's what to know about the Broncos' playoff odds entering their Week 13 "Monday Night Football" matchup.
Broncos playoff odds
FanDuel Sportsbook has set the Broncos' odds to make the playoffs at -154. The sportsbook also offers odds for Denver to miss the playoffs at +126.
FanDuel's odds imply a 60.6% chance of making the postseason.
Broncos remaining schedule
According to Tankathon, Denver has the 14th-hardest schedule remaining with five games left to play. Their upcoming opponents have a combined win percentage of .533.
The Broncos have just two divisional games remaining in their final five games, each against one of the teams in front of them in the standings. Denver's other three remaining matchups are against sub-.500 teams: the Browns, Bengals and Colts.
Here's who the Broncos will face over the final six weeks:
- Week 13: vs. Cleveland Browns (3-8)
- Week 14: BYE
- Week 15: vs. Indianapolis Colts (6-7)
- Week 16: at Los Angeles Chargers (8-4)
- Week 17: at Cincinnati Bengals (4-8)
- Week 18: vs. Kansas City Chiefs (11-1)
AFC West standings
The Broncos are in third place in the AFC West and the third team in the division currently holding a playoff spot.
Denver is at a disadvantage in the divisional title race not only because it has the third-best record but also because it has lost its first matchups to both teams ahead of it. The Broncos will need to win each of their remaining games against the Chargers and Chiefs to split the head-to-head tiebreaker against both teams.
Here's where the AFC West stands after the Sunday slate in Week 13:
- Kansas City Chiefs (11-1)
- Los Angeles Chargers (8-4)
- Denver Broncos (7-5)
- Las Vegas Raiders (2-10)
