The first Saturday of 2025 kicks off the last week of the 2024 NFL regular season.

It's an AFC North-themed day on the gridiron, with the Browns, Ravens, Bengals and Steelers all set to put a bow on their campaigns. The Ravens and Steelers are extending their season into the playoffs, hoping to make some noise as two of the remaining 14 teams.

For the Browns, it's just 60 more game minutes of agony that will last about three hours in real-time before they head for another long offseason. On the bright side for them, a top-five pick seemingly awaits in the 2025 NFL draft, which could help turn the tide for a franchise stuck in mediocrity.

Then there's the Bengals, the NFL's enigma. They are loaded with talent and possess one of the league's best quarterbacks and receiving duos, but they can't quite get over the top. Plagued by another slow start to the season, Cincinnati had to dig out of a major hole to keep its season alive heading into Week 18. Now, its fate is in the hands of other teams.

The Bengals must handle business, but it won't be easy. The Steelers are hoping for a miracle victory from the Browns, which would open the door for the AFC North division to be won.

Storylines for today's NFL games

  • Saturday is all about the playoffs for these four teams. The Ravens need a win to clinch the AFC North, while the Steelers need a win and a Baltimore loss to become division champions.
  • Cincinnati enters on the outside of the playoff picture, hoping for a chance to get an invite to the postseason. They'll need a win and plenty of help, requiring wins from the Chiefs and Jets to clinch a spot. That means their fate might be determined on Sunday, but none of it matters without beating the Steelers in Pittsburgh.
  • The Browns enter the day in possession of the No. 3 pick in the draft and should remain in that spot with a loss. However, they can move up in the order if the Patriots and Titans can claim victories on Sunday, but Cleveland's latest rebuild should be underway with a top pick to get it started.
