The NFL playoffs have hit the divisional round, with just eight teams left in the hunt to cap this season off with a Super Bowl title.

The action begins Saturday, with two huge games that will see the respective top seeds in the AFC and NFC take the field after byes in the wild-card round. First up, the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Houston Texans, who are feeling confident after a smothering defensive effort was the foundation for a 32-12 win over the Los Angeles Chargers last weekend. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is coming off of two weeks of rest after sitting out Week 18, but he'll have to be sharp to cope with a Texans defense that forced Justin Herbert into four interceptions.

Following that AFC clash, the NFC will take the stage as the Detroit Lions face the Washington Commanders at Ford Field. Detroit could get a major boost for this divisional battle, as there's a real chance that running back David Montgomery will make a surprise return from injury to play. They'll face a tough challenge from rookie sensation Jayden Daniels and the Commanders, who secured a dramatic 23-20 road win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as time expired.
