The NFL's divisional round concludes with a marquee matchup between the two MVP favorites.

Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen will duel for a trip to the AFC championship game when the Ravens meet the Bills in western New York. This is the marquee matchup of the slate, wrapping up the divisional round.

Jackson and Allen have been on a collision course for MVP all season long, but that's a personal achievement. They'll hope their teams get something to celebrate in less than a month as they aim to be crowned Super Bowl champions in New Orleans.

For now, they'll battle for the second time this season, with the other being a Ravens' Week 4 win in Baltimore. Now it's Buffalo with the home-field advantage, hoping a rowdy crowd and some chilly weather will be enough to propel one of the league's best offenses into championship weekend.

Here's everything you need to know about the playoff matchup in Buffalo on Sunday.

Bills vs. Ravens predictions

  • Ravens 30, Bills 27

No matter how you slice it, this game is close. It feels like a field goal game that comes down to the final moments. Perhaps the team with the ball last comes out on top.

The Ravens had the advantage earlier in the season, but that has no impact on this weekend's game. These teams have evolved and both quarterbacks are set to play a significant role in the outcome. However, the difference in this game comes down to a running back.

Derrick Henry joined the Ravens with the hopes of getting over the hump after topping out in the AFC championship game with the Titans. He and Jackson have formed a dominant backfield duo, with either of them capable of winning a game with their legs.

With cold weather and a chance of snow on Sunday, tackling Henry becomes even more of a nightmare than usual. The physical back that looks like he was made in a lab was built for these moments. He's also recorded at least 130 rushing yards in four straight and brings an element that Buffalo didn't have to contend with last week.

He's the difference in this back-and-forth battle.

Bills vs. Ravens stats, history

The Ravens have the edge with a 7-5 record, including 0-1 in the playoffs, all-time against the Bills. These two teams faced off in Week 4, with Baltimore claiming a 35-10 victory.

Jackson and Allen met in the only playoff matchup between these teams in history, which came in 2021. Allen and the Bills managed a 17-3 victory in the divisional round. Neither offense was particularly impressive in that contest, but both teams have a different look that should bring more points this time. Buffalo ultimately lost to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship that year, 38-24.
