Projected 2025 Super Bowl matchup: Odds suggest most likely teams are Chiefs, Eagles

The 2025 NFL playoffs have just two weekends of action remaining and this Sunday is the appetizer to the Super Bowl. Fans will be treated to two familiar matchups in the conference championship games.
First, the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders will battle for the right to represent their conference in the Super Bowl when they meet in the NFC title game.
The Commanders have been the biggest surprise of the postseason, riding a red-hot run from rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels to a road win over the top-seeded Detroit Lions. Washington will play in its first conference championship game in 33 years.
Meanwhile, Saquon Barkley has been the engine for the Eagles, who find themselves in their second NFC championship appearance in three years.
In the AFC title game, the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills will face off for the fourth time in the last five postseasons. Patrick Mahomes and Co. have won all three meetings against Josh Allen in the playoffs but Buffalo came out victorious in the regular-season matchup in November.
Here is a look at who is favored to win the AFC and NFC championship games and meet in Super Bowl 59 with odds from DraftKings Sportsbook.
Projected Super Bowl matchup
Odds as of Wednesday.
Chiefs vs. Eagles (+140)
A Chiefs vs. Eagles Super Bowl matchup will be a repeat from two years ago, in which Kansas City won 38-35. The (+140) odds imply a 41.7% chance we see these two franchises again square off with a Lombardi trophy on the line.
Saquon Barkley rushed for the fifth-most rushing yards in a single game in playoff history against the Los Angeles Rams. He rushed for 150 and 146 yards in the two meetings with Washington in the regular season. The Eagles and Nick Sirianni will look to continue feeding the marquee free-agent signing to return to the Super Bowl. Philadelphia is priced (-285) to win the NFC championship which implies a 74% chance they will play in the Super Bowl next month.
In the AFC, the Chiefs are short favorites against the visiting Bills, priced at (-125) on the moneyline. This implies a 55.6% chance Kansas City will win the AFC title and head to its fifth Super Bowl in six years.
Bills vs. Eagles (+175)
Buffalo is looking to change their recent history against the Chiefs after knocking off the Baltimore Ravens and MVP-favorite Lamar Jackson in a tightly contested divisional round matchup. Josh Allen played at an MVP level all season long and has an opportunity to exercise revenge this Sunday. The Bills are listed as (+105) underdogs in the AFC title game, which implies a 48.8% chance they will win and head to their first Super Bowl since 1994.
The Eagles are heavily favored to win the NFC title and are the current favorites among the four remaining teams in Super Bowl odds. These teams most recently met last season where Philadelphia outlasted Buffalo in an overtime thriller 37-34.
Chiefs vs. Commanders (+450)
The Chiefs had a first-round bye in the wild-card round and an extra week to rest and prepare for the Houston Texans, who they defeated 24-13 in the divisional round. Kansas City continues to trail Philadelphia in Super Bowl odds but has been the favorite among AFC teams for most of the season.
In the NFC title game, the Commanders look to continue making history during their playoff run. Daniels is angling to become the first rookie quarterback to lead his team to a Super Bowl. Washington is priced (+230) on the moneyline, which implies a 30.3% chance they will win on Sunday and play in their first Super Bowl since 1991.
Bills vs. Commanders (+550)
According to the odds, this is the least likely Super Bowl matchup. The odds imply just a 15.4% chance the Bills and Commandeers will both upset their rivals on the road this Sunday and meet in Super Bowl 59.
Washington won its first playoff game since 2005 when it defeated Tampa Bay in the wild card. It’s been nearly two decades since Washington was relevant in the postseason, and they lost against their NFC East rivals in Philadelphia earlier this season 26-18.
With a trip to the Super Bowl on the line, it's more feasible for the Bills to upset the Chiefs as slight underdogs. Buffalo and Josh Allen are 4-1 against Mahomes and Kansas City in their regular-season matchups.
