Who are the Super Bowl halftime show 2025 performers? Kendrick Lamar headlines lineup

Kendrick Lamar wants his Super Bowl halftime show to be a reminder about rap music and its overall impact on the music world. But it will also be validation that, be it because of his Grammy Award-winning talent or his lingering beef with Drake that inspired the monster hit, "Not Like Us," Lamar is reaching a new level of mainstream fame now.
This is what it means today to headline a Super Bowl halftime show like Lamar, 37, will at Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans on Sunday, Feb. 9. Just three years ago, he played a secondary role at the star-studded Super Bowl 57 halftime show featuring Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige. This fall, he'll join a club with Beyonce, The Rolling Stones, Prince, Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney and more legends of the music world that have turned the Super Bowl halftime show into almost a rite of passage for the biggest stars.
Lamar is the latest to be tapped by Jay-Z, Roc Nation and Apple Music after the entities took over production of this event-within-the-event from the NFL starting in 2019. There is already a special guest performer joining Lamar and some subtle hints about what the show could look and sound like. Will there be mention of that feud with Drake? What guests will join Lamar? There are plenty of details to still fill in.
Here's the latest updates on who's scheduled to perform at the Super Bowl 59 halftime show:
What is the Super Bowl 59 halftime show lineup?
Kendrick Lamar, in conjunction with the NFL, announced in September that he had agreed to be the headline performer for the Super Bowl 59 halftime show.
"Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I'll be there to remind the world why," Lamar said in a statement at the time. "They got the right one."
Lamar revealed earlier this week on social media that frequent collaborator and fellow Grammy Award-winning artist SZA will also join him as a special guest performer at Caesars Superdome for next month's Super Bowl halftime show. The two are also going on tour together beginning this spring.
Roc Nation and Emmy-winning producer Jesse Collins will serve as co-executive producers. The creative direction of Lamar's performance will be provided by pgLang, a creative company founded by Lamar and Dave Free -- who has previously directed the rapper's music videos.
