The Music City is set to play a different tune at the 2025 NFL draft.

While the home of country music has plenty of hits, their football team has never been No. 1 at the NFL draft – at least while based in Nashville.

There aren't many reasons to typically celebrate a 3-13 season, but picking first in the NFL's marquee offseason event is certainly one exception. While the 2025 NFL draft isn't believed to be a strong class, the Tennessee Titans will have to hope they can still find a game-changer when they're on the clock.

The honky-tonks are packed, Broadway is alive and the "NashVegas" is ready to continue the party, even if the party is hundreds of miles away in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

As the Titans fans curl up with some hot chicken for dinner and Goo Goo Clusters for dessert on the couch after a long season, here's what to know about the No. 1 pick for the NFL draft in 2025.

Who has the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft?

The Tennessee Titans have the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

Tennessee earned that honor after they posted a 3-14 record in the regular season, tied for the league's worst with the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants. Thanks to owning a weaker strength of schedule, the Titans won the tiebreaker to have the top selection.

Have the Titans ever drafted No. 1 overall?

The Tennessee Titans, in their current form following relocation, have never made the top selection in an NFL draft. However, the franchise's history also includes the Houston Oilers, which had that honor twice.

The franchise selected defensive lineman John Matuszak with the first pick in 1973 and then owned the exact pick five years later. The then-Oilers selected Earl Campbell, the Hall of Fame running back, in 1978.

The Tennessee version of the franchise has only picked as high as No. 2 overall when they drafted Oregon Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota in 2015.

When is the NFL draft in 2025?

The Titans will be officially on the clock when the first round of the NFL draft begins on Thursday, April 24.

It continues with the second and third rounds on Friday, April 25 before the draft concludes with the final four rounds on Saturday, April 26.
