Chris Godwin has agreed to a deal to return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Godwin is signing a three-year, $66 million deal to stay in a Buccaneers uniform, per reports.

A person close to the situation confirmed Godwin's return to the Buccaneers to Paste BN Sports' Tyler Dragon. The person spoke on condition of anonymity given the sensitivity of the matter.

The receiver is coming off a season that was cut short by injury after suffering a dislocated ankle in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Week 7 loss, which ended up being season-ending.

Godwin has been a solid weapon, when on the field. Injuries have forced the 29-year-old off the field quite a bit over the years.

He has played just one full season in the last six, missing 21 regular season games in that span. Despite that, Godwin has still continued to produce over the years.

Godwin has posted at least 1,000 receiving yards in four of the last six years, earning just one Pro Bowl appearance for his efforts. Even without that recognition, he is still considered one of the more steady and reliable receivers in the game.
