Chicago Bears to sign Drew Dalman, per report

Drew Dalman has found a new NFL home.
The center and the Bears have agreed to a three-year, $42 million deal that includes $28 million in guaranteed money to join the Chicago Bears, according to reports.
A person close to the situation confirmed the deal to Paste BN's Tyler Dragon. The person spoke on condition of anonymity given the sensitivity of the matter.
Arguably the best offensive lineman available in free agency, Dalman joins a Bears team looking to build in year two around 2024 No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams.
Dalman is a bully in the run game and was graded fourth-overall at the position in 2024, per PFF.
The Bears needed to protect their franchise quarterback better in 2025 and beyond. Williams was sacked a league-high 68 times in his rookie year, the third-most in a season in NFL history.
General manager Ryan Poles and new Bears head coach Ben Johnson have made several moves to attempt to shore up their offensive line this offseason.
This has been exhibited with two reported trades before free agency; The acquisitions of All-Pro guard Joe Thuney from the Chiefs and Jonah Jackson from the Rams.
