Jacksonville Jaguars agree to record contract with former Cowboys CB Jourdan Lewis

The Jacksonville Jaguars finished the 2024 season with the last-ranked pass defense in the NFL. On the first day of the legal tampering period, they're addressing that issue.
Jacksonville signed former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Jourdan Lewis to a three-year, $30 million contract with $20 million guaranteed.
This deal makes Lewis the highest-paid nickel cornerback in the NFL.
A person close to the situation confirmed Lewis' deal with the Jaguars to Paste BN Sports' Tyler Dragon. The person spoke on condition of anonymity given the sensitivity of the matter.
Dallas drafted Lewis in the third round, No. 92 overall in the 2017 NFL draft. He spent his entire eight-year career with the Cowboys and is entering his age-30 season.
In 2024, he started 13 games and had one interception, eight passes defensed and one sack. His best season in Dallas was 2021 with career-highs in interceptions (three) and passes defensed (11).
